Italy: European Accessibility Act (EAA)
The European Accessibility Act (EAA) applies across the EU. The national law implementing it here is the Decreto Legislativo 27 maggio 2022, n. 82 (Legislative Decree No. 82 of 27 May 2022).

What it requires
Like every EU member state's implementation of the EAA, this national law requires in-scope digital services to conform to WCAG 2.1 AA (via the harmonised standard EN 301 549) and to publish an accessibility statement describing that conformance and how to report problems.
The EU-wide compliance deadline was 28 June 2025 — this already applies to in-scope businesses today.
